D.C. jury finds Maryland man guilty in 1990 slaying

A D.C. Superior Court jury took less than two hours Monday to find a Silver Spring man guilty of second-degree murder in the 1990 shooting of the son of a retired District homicide detective in an early case of road rage.

Terps to Host “Lift for Life” Charity Event Thursday

Members of the Maryland Chapter of Uplifting Athletes will participate in their first ever “Lift For Life” event Thursday, July 22, at 5 p.m. on the practice field next to Byrd Stadium in hopes of raising money to find a cure for cystic fibrosis.
